Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?    Our head office is located at 165 Ferris Lane in Barrie, in the Common Roof.  We have satellite offices in Midland, Orillia, Collingwood, Bradford and Alliston.

 

Do you serve children or adults?    Our organization provides support to children and adults and their families.  Some of the programs are intended for children and some for adults.  Check our programs (link) tab for information about specific programs.

 

Do you have group homes or day programs?  No, we don't but we work closely with agencies that do provide these services for people with developmental and physical disabilities.

 

Is there a cost for your service?   No, there is no cost for any of our services.

 

Do you provide funding?   Some of our programs provide funding for respite or community supports.    See Respite (link) and Passport (link) tabs for more information.

 

Do you have wait lists?   Some of our programs do have wait lists.  We try to keep the wait time to a minimum, and will try to help you on a short-term basis if you can't wait.  Call Catulpa for more information at (705) 725-7997

 

Where do you get your funding?   We receive funding from regional, provincial and federal governments to operate our programs.

 

Are you a government agency?   No, we are a transfer payment agency, governed by a volunteer board of directors.  We are funded by government, but are not a government agency.
