Three Part FASD Information Series: Adverse Childhood Experiences and FASD

Please note this is a three part series: October 14, 21 & 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration Deadline for the series is 5 p.m. on Monday, October 12th. 

Catulpa Community Support Services’ FASD Key Supports and Services presents a three part series: FASD therapeutic parenting session for caregivers, pre-adoptive and Adoptive families, kinship and customary care families. Speakers are Kathy Soden & Sylvia Gibbons, Adoption Council of Ontario.

The series is an informative overview of:

The Adverse Childhood Experiences study
The brain science of childhood trauma, FASD and brain-based disability
The brain’s resilience and opportunities for strengthening neural pathways
The difference between therapeutic parenting and traditional parenting
The further resources and learning opportunities available
