How do I apply to become a member of the Catulpa Board of Directors?
Individuals residing in the County of Simcoe or the Region of York, with a strong interest in services and programs for those with special needs are welcome to apply to become a volunteer member of the Catulpa Board of Directors. Members of the Board of Directors oversee the organization’s governance and future policy within a Carver Model board structure.
The Volunteer Board of Directors
The Catulpa Community Support Services’ Board is responsible for effective governance of the agency through oversight of strategic planning, fiscal review and determination of mission related policy. It is not responsible for fundraising, personnel, programs, services, curricula or budgets. Volunteer Directors provide special skills and knowledge, (finance, law, governance, social services, healthcare, etc.) within the Board setting.
Board of Director sessions take place in Barrie, ON six times annually for approximately three hours per meeting. Successful Board of Director applicants are appointed for a term of three years.
Individuals with disabilities, parents and/or caregivers of those within Catulpa Community Support Services’ programs and services, and those from diverse backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
