Vettä Nordic Spa Donates to Catulpa Community Support Services

Vettä is proud to donate 112 Nordic Spa passes to Catulpa Community Support Services, all of which will be distributed to caregivers of children, youth, and adults with special or unique needs that the agency currently supports.  In a presentation at Vettä on Thursday, January 18th, 2023,  Eric Harkonen, Founder/President of Vettä acknowledged this donation, stating:

“Vettä is reaching one year of being open and we are quite proud of what we have accomplished.  We wanted to find a way to give back to the community and Giving Tuesday and Catulpa were a perfect fit for us.  We understand that Catulpa supports dedicated caregivers of children, youth, and adults with special or unique needs.  A big part of Vettä’s brand essence is that we are Finnish-Inspired.  In Finland, equal access to resources and spending valuable time away from the stresses of their lives, most time in a sauna and in nature, is very important.  We want Catulpa’s caregivers to be able to have a getaway from their stressful yet rewarding roles caring for their family members.  We want them to relax, recharge, and more importantly, reconnect with themselves and/or their loved ones.  We want them to be able to recharge their batteries and face life and their responsibilities with a renewed spirit. “

This time affords reprieve from day-to-day demands, offers social opportunities outside of the home, and can provide the flexibility required to take care of important aspects of life beyond caregiver duties.
